Site Visit to the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport

On Friday afternoon of the AUBEA Conference (25 November) we will have a bus tour to the new Nancy-Bird Walton Airport under construction at Badgery's Creek. The airport is planned to have 24-hour and curfew-free operations and will supplement the current Sydney Airport at Mascot, which has reached capacity. The first stage of construction on the new airport began on 24 September 2018, and the first stage is expected to be complete and open by December 2026. The airport is located 44 km west of Sydney CBD and midway between the outer Sydney suburban centres of Penrith and Campbelltown.

Information about the project is available from Western Sydney Airport Portal.

Participation in the site visit is capped at 40, on a first-come first-served basis. Please indicate if you wish to attend the tour in the registration form.
