Sonocent Audio Notetaker has been replaced by Glean. Sonocent is not available for use beyond December 2023. As such, no new requests for Sonocent access will be approved. All current users are encouraged to transition to Glean if you wish to continue using audio notetaking software in 2024.
Sonocent Audio Notetaker is designed to help you create organised and multi-faceted notes that are easily re-purposed into concise study files. You can make use of the Sonocent features to:
Take notes during face-to-face and online classes.
Listen to and take notes from readings.
Capture and transcribe interviews.
Prepare for and record a presentation.
Plan and create your assignments by speaking and organising your thoughts before turning your content into a Word document for submission.
To get the most out of this software make use of the materials below. You can also watch the CommunATy Hour Focus session video on Notetaking with Sonocent (opens in a new window) to learn how to take useful notes, and how to refine these into great study notes, incorporating Sonocent in this process.
Please note that from January 2022, all new student referrals for notetaking support will be supplied with Glean instead.
