Biography
Isaac Lyne is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) working on a 5-year project "Building the evidence base on the impacts of mobile financial services for women and men in farming households in Laos and Cambodia", commissioned by Australia Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), due to end in May 2027. In a previous Fellowship role at ICS, funded by the SeedBox International Environmental Humanities, Isaac engaged with water distribution in Cambodia using a "business at the bottom of the economic pyramid approach", through environmental humanities and community economies research. Isaac graduated from the Institute with a PhD in 2017 for a thesis titled "Social Enterprise and Community Development: Theory into Practice in Two Cambodian Villages; his fieldwork entailed action research harnessing Asset Based Community Development (ABCD).
