Biography

Dr Saunders is a proud Biripi man and alumni of Western Sydney University’s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Master of Public Health (MPH) programs. He is currently undertaking his PhD through Western Sydney University’s School of Medicine. His doctoral studies focus on the development of Indigenous cross-cultural capability in medical students. His research focusses on Indigenous Health, including culturally appropriate models of healthcare. Dr Saunders has experience in clinical medicine, medical devices, and Indigenous health research, including research project management. His research experience is broad, encompassing clinical and social health research, primarily relating to Indigenist models of health and healthcare.
