Biography
Dr Michael Gascoigne joined the School of Psychology at Western Sydney University in September 2021 as a Senior Lecturer. He received a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and PhD in neuropsychology from the University of Sydney in 2014.
Michael’s research interests relate to cognitive deficits in clinical populations. His PhD research examined memory deficits in children with Idiopathic Generalised or Temporal Lobe epilepsy and was completed at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Michael was previously a Senior Lecturer at the Australian College of Applied Psychology, where he was the coordinator for the Masters of Psychology (Clinical) degree and postgraduate research coordinator. He is a member of the Australian Paediatric Neuropsychology Research Network and the International Society for Behavioural Neuroscience. Michael is also an Honorary Associate of the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney.
