Safe Online and Social Media Use

Equity and Diversity is a proud member of the University’s Safe Online and Social Media Taskforce. The Taskforce has been established to address  trolling and negative behaviour online as experienced by students and staff.

Western Sydney University is committed to providing an inclusive and safe learning and working environment and considers any harassment, discrimination or bullying unacceptable, including in online environments. The University actively works to support students and staff who may experience adverse behaviour online and encourages all students and staff affected to seek support and report any incidents to the University. Students are encouraged to discuss any concerns with their Unit Coordinator and/or Student Wellbeing Services. Staff are encouraged to speak to their Line Manager and/or seek support from the Employee Assistance Program.
