The Student Honour Code now forms part of the new Academic Integrity Module.

  • The Student Honour Code was developed by student representatives in 2018 on behalf of all students at Western.
  • The purpose of the Honour Code is to articulate and promote values and expectations around academic integrity related to student conduct in academic work and community involvement.
  • The Honour Code will build better communication, confidence and trust between students and faculty, and will encourage a sense of civic responsibility that extends beyond the classroom.
  • Along with academic modelling, the Honour Code forms the basis for creating a culture of academic integrity across the university and its community. It will be used in restorative interventions and should also be used in support of peer mentoring and co-curricular learning.
