New Colombo Plan Mobility grants available now!

The New Colombo Plan Mobility Program (NCP) provides funding to Australian universities and consortia to support Australian undergraduate students to participate in semester-based or short-term study, internships, mentorships, practicums and research in 40 host locations across the Indo-Pacific region. Become part of the growing number of students that have received a prestigious NCP Mobility Grant and connect with leaders in government, business and civil society in the region.

Partner of the Month: Royal Roads University (Canada)

Royal Roads University is an accredited, publicly funded, applied research university that has focused on lifelong education. Their vision is to inspire people with the courage to transform the world.Its main campus is located in Colwood, British Columbia (Canada) on the grounds of the former Royal Roads Military College (RRMC) at Hatley Park National Historic Site on Vancouver Island. It is also located at close reach of Vancouver city (Canada) and Seattle (USA). Hatley Park, where the university campus is located, is a mix of landscaped gardens and natural woodland. Hatley Castle and its surroundings have made appearances in numerous movies and TV series programs such as Smallville where it serves as the Luthor Mansion, and the second and third X-Men films where the university is transformed into Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Royal Roads University offers semester or year-long exchange programs in the fields of Leadership, Business, Environment, Communication, Tourism, Hospitality, and Social Justice for Western Sydney University students.

Virtual Internships in Indonesia

$3,000 New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility grants are available for eligible students interested in undertaking a virtual internship in Indonesia in January-February 2022. The ACICIS Virtual Professional Practicum Programs provide students with a unique opportunity to gain professional experience and establish networks in Indonesia. Students undertake online Indonesian language and cultural classes, and a series of seminars, as well as a virtual professional placement (160 hour internship) with an Indonesian or international organisation which matches their interests. Internships options include Agriculture, Business, Creative Arts & Design, Development Studies, Journalism, Law, and Sustainable Tourism.

The Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies (ACICIS Study Indonesia) is a non-profit consortium of universities that develops and coordinates high quality study programs in Indonesia. Learn about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Take advantage of the full scholarships offered by Western Sydney University and embark on an exciting virtual journey to learn about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and become a social entrepreneur from 7th - 20th November 2021. You will hear from virtual guest speakers from organizations, such as the UN Environment Programme and become a Goalkeeper for the SDG that inspires you most. In addition, you team up with international peers to tackle your own SDG Start-up Project. The provider People & Friends will lead this program and teach you state-of-the-art entrepreneurial tools and methods in order for you to develop your own social start-up from scratch and receive valuable feedback from experienced social entrepreneurs. Moreover, you can enjoy numerous SDG-related virtual experiences, such as a virtual cooking class, a visit to the Machu Picchu (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and a virtual tour of New York.

HEX Innovative Programs

HEX runs seriously fun innovation programs for gusty WSU students. Go Global is elated to announce that all programs offered by HEX will be fully funded for all WSU students.

Through these programs, students learn what it takes to transform a concept into a scalable business or social movement. They learn and master skills that leading employers are desperately searching for. HEX programs are hands-on, immersive and put WSU students in front of the people they dream of meeting and develop students into leaders ready to take on the future.

HEX has an alumni network of over 4000 students, with 4 upcoming innovation programs open to students from any academic discipline.

Discovery Sprint
(27 Sept - 1 Oct 2021)

A crash course innovation program where students rocket from being a curious recruit to innovation trailblazers. Students have the support of mentors and pitch their ideas to industry leaders.

Virtual Innovation Program (Asia-Pacific) (22 Nov - 3 Dec 2021)An immersive program where students are exposed to different startup ecosystems around the Asia-Pacific. Students come in with a business idea and build it into a reality.
Global Innovation Internship (27 Sept - 26 Nov 2021)

Designed to accelerate career opportunities; learn transferable innovation skills in a discovery sprint program followed by an internship of the students choice in a global company.

Great Global Challenge (3-8 Jan 2021)An innovation challenge where students network and accelerate ideas in groups of like-minded peers surrounded by mentors and leaders from all over the world.
