Biography
Dr Mehrnoush Bonakdar is a Research Officer at the THRI, Western Sydney University. She has a particular research interest in addressing the service and support needs of migrant women, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
She completed her PhD in 2023, her doctoral research focuses on Child and Family Health Nursing, and in particular, sustained nurse home visiting services in culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families with limited English proficiency. Her study, which involved co-designing a model of Child and Family Health Nursing support for CALD families, has the future potential to improve the families' engagements and better health outcomes for their children.
Before commencing her PhD, Mehrnoush with clinical nursing experience and MPH qualification, worked in both direct service work and research roles.
