Abstract

A randomised clinical trial was conducted on patients with glioblastoma or astrocytoma grade three recurrent, the most aggressive brain tumours in adults. The trial investigated the tolerability of two ratios of cannabis administered to patients for 12-weeks. An MRI was conducted at baseline and 12-weeks with bloods taken at baseline, week 4, 8 and 12. Safety data as well as pharmacokinetics were conducted on these blood samples. Patients were also followed up for two years post trial for survival and continuation of taking cannabis in this period. The results of the trial, PK and follow up will presented.
