Take deliberate steps towards wellness and register today for your free CPD workshop.NICM Health Research Institute and Next Practice - Western Sydney Integrative Health invite you to a workshop on self-care, wellbeing, and mind-body practices. This free CPD workshop is for registered medical doctors and includes mindfulness and yoga practice. Workshop participants will gain 1 hour of educational activities and 1.5 hours of reviewing performance activities. The workshop will conclude with a complimentary afternoon tea. PresentersAssociate Professor Carolyn Ee Passionate about health and wellbeing, Associate Professor Carolyn Ee is a Principal Research Fellow at NICM Health Research Institute, and a practicing GP. Specialising in clinical research on complementary and integrative therapies, she also serves as Chair of the RACGP Integrative Medicine Specific Interest Group. Carolyn is a co-founder of the Medical Mums and Mums to Be Self-Care and Wellbeing Group. Andrew Stewart Andrew, a former Qantas Airways Boeing 747 captain, now serves as a dedicated counsellor and training instructor for the Qantas pilots. With over 20 years of experience in mindfulness and meditation, he has trained at esteemed centres worldwide, including the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and the Compassionate Mind Foundation. Andrew holds a master’s degree in Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford and a counselling degree from the Australian College of Applied Psychology in Sydney. Margery Hellman Margie Hellman, a highly qualified IAYT Registered Yoga Therapist, AHPRA Registered Occupational Therapist and Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, brings 25+ years of experience in mind-body therapies. Currently working at Next Practice - WSIH, Chris O Brien Lifehouse, and Life Care Inner West, Margie’s inclusive teaching style benefits individuals of all abilities. With over 15 years of public yoga instruction and private practice as a specialised Yoga Therapist, Margie focuses on mental health, persistent pain, cancer care and healthy ageing. Further details
