23 July 2019

NICM congratulate Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA) on winning the highly coveted ‘2019 Association of the Year’ awarded by The Associations Forum.

The award recognises an exemplary association that has distinguished itself by achieving overall excellence with demonstrated ability to influence government decision-making, deliver world-class conferences and exhibitions and publishing accurate and important market intelligence.

CMA’s CEO, Carl Gibson, accepted the award in front of over 500 stakeholders from Australia’s not-for-profit sector at a gala dinner held in Federal Parliament on 16 July 2019.

Gibson says he was proud of CMA’s commitment to its members: “With over 1,500 Associations in Australia, this is a superb achievement and testament to the dedication of our team and their commitment to the complementary medicines industry in Australia.”

NICM Director, Professor Alan Bensoussan says the award acknowledges the enormous contributions and commitment that CMA makes to providing leadership, strategy, advocacy and support to the sector.
