Role of online engagement and mentoring to support Veterans transition to student life

Dr Anna Denejkina, Y&R Member from Western Sydney University, is currently leading work around encouraging and supporting more Veterans to undertake higher education studies. Her latest research project is designed to  investigate the role of online engagement and mentoring through Zoom to support Student Veterans transition from military life into student life, by creating a peer and external support network in their first year at university.

Dr Denejka is looking for additional mentors to support Student Veterans on the program. Mentors need to be an ex-ADF Service member and have completed/graduated with a university degree, or have undertaken some university study (without completing a degree) during and/or after separating from the ADF.

Mentors can be located anywhere in Australia and are asked to contribute 1 hour of their time per week for a period of 6 weeks.
