Using the date navigator in Microsoft Outlook

There are a few ways to use the Date Navigator in Outlook including;


Single Days

  • Click a single day and the calendar view changes to that date only.


Adjoining Days

  • Click immediately to the left of a week, will highlight the week and your calendar view changes to that week
  • Click anywhere on the weekday letters at the top of the Date Navigator and view changes to the whole month.

Non-consecutive days

  • Press and hold the Ctrl key and then click on any combination of non-consecutive dates to show them side-by-side.

  • More than one month.

In Outlook 2007

  • From the Tools menu, choose Options.
  • Select the Other tab and click the To-Do Bar button.
  • In the Number of Month Rows box, enter the number of months you want displayed and click OK.

In Outlook 2010

  • From the File tab, choose Options.
  • Click Advanced (in the left pane)
  • In the Outlook Panes area, click the To-Do Bar button.
  • Enter the number of months you want displayed in the Number of Month Rows box and click OK.

Use Go To

  • Press Ctrl+G to open Go To.
  • Enter a Date and type of Calendar.
  • Click OK
  • Try this; you can even enter a term, like last month or next Friday and click OK.
