Replies with Comments

In Outlook 2013, when you want to comment on points in an email you can include comments in your reply. You can automatically prefix your comment to let the recipient know where the comments come from, by adding text; for example <<GG>> so your reply would look like this;

<<GG>> I think this is a great idea.

You can also change the Font, Font size and colour.

To change the Reply text.

  • From the File tab, choose Options.
  • Click the Mail link, in the Navigation Pane
  • Under Compose Message, click the Stationery and Fonts button.
  • Under the Replying or Forwarding messages: area,
    • (1) Select the Mark My Comments With: check box.
    • (2) Type in the text you want used to identify yourself on the comments, such as your initials. (<<GG>>)
    • (3) Click the Font button, to change the reply Font/colour/size. This will change all of the reply font including the comments text.
