Burn a CD using Nero

Burning

Putting information in the form of files onto a CD is not like saving it to a hard drive. The files are stored temporarily and then “burnt” to the CD. Windows XP has a built in function to burn CDs but in the UWS environment if you have a CD burner then you automatically get the Nero burning program. If the Nero package is installed on your computer then you cannot burn using Windows XP.

Select an option below to find out further information on;

Nero

Nero comes as a package of applications such as a Media Player and photo manipulation program as well as a CD Rom burning tool called Nero Burning Rom.
There are 2 different ways to use Nero CD burning, the Nero Burning Rom using a windows look or Nero Express. There is also a toolbox Quickstart.

Quickstart

The Quickstart feature is a toolbox with shortcuts to all the Nero application and manuals on your computer. To burn a CD you select the “Make a data CD” icon, but it will simply open Nero Express.
