To create the conditions in which learning occurs requires meaningful activities that prompt students to think about what they are doing. There are learning products currently available that can enhance online learning experiences for our students.

Western Sydney University guides students with the six primary referencing styles used at Western: HarvardWSU, APA, MLA, AGLC, Vancouver and Chicago.
The partnership pedagogy project between Learning Futures and The Library has resulted in a highly interactive learning experience for students by:
Encouraging the player to learn by doing.
Providing the player with customised, responsive, and rapid feedback.
Encouraging thoughtful planning and decision making.
Demanding the player learns to succeed, because if they don’t learn they can’t progress to the next level.
Mapping success and failure directly to the player’s actions and these are represented in the game.
Giving the player positive feedback and rewards for progression.
Offering consequences for failure combined with constructive feedback and correction. These are not abstract or hypothetical; they are represented in the game.
Investing their ego and self-image into a character and experience players can identify with.
Creating an engaging narrative and fun experience that provides the player a scenario that generates emotional responses and enjoyment.

Student Dashboards
The Student Analytics Dashboard was piloted in four units throughout Autumn session. The aim of the Pilot was to gain feedback from both Instructors and students to help inform the institutional-wide implementation planned for Spring session 2022. Learning Futures have worked with Academic pilot participants to develop a communications plan to maximise the dashboard’s reach and use. We have received 21 survey responses, with majority of students indicating that they find the dashboard valuable. Student feedback will also be used to make minor improvements before implementing widely.
