About the School of Psychology

Inside the Parramatta Science building

Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind.

Psychologists are intrinsically interested in the mind and how it functions, and study everything from how people act and interact, and how our individual experiences, abilities and biology inform our behaviour.

At Western Sydney University, we are committed to advancing world-leading psychological research and training the next generation of experts and clinicians.

Within the School of Psychology, we offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology programs.

Our degrees provide a clear pathway to careers as a registered general or clinical psychologist, as well as other careers in human and community services, mental health services, human resources and business, youth services and research.

Our graduates are equipped with an advanced knowledge and understanding of the human condition and an ability to think analytically – skills that are valued in broad range of sectors and industries.
