Community Services
The object of the University under its Act of Incorporation is the promotion of scholarship, research, free enquiry, the interaction of research and teaching, and academic excellence. One of the key functions flowing from this is the provision of facilities for education and research of university standard, having particular regard to the needs and aspirations of residents of Western Sydney.

The University has over 44,000 students across studying on campuses across Western Sydney. Almost 66% of students are from the region. The University engages with the community in its teaching programs with an emphasis on engaged learning, involving student placements and industry experience. The University has a focussed approach to its identified research priorities that address key needs of our communities.
