COVID-19 VACCINATION INFORMATION FOR WESTERN SYDNEY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
The obligation for health care workers to be vaccinated covers employees, contractors, visiting practitioners, volunteers and students. It covers both temporary and permanent work.
Students attending placements in health care facilities
Students are considered as a Stage 1 Health Care Worker:

NSW Health have several vaccination sites.

REMEMBER: In order to ensure a student can commence a placement, it is important that any mandatory vaccinations as per the NSW Health Policy: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases are prioritised. This includes the 2021 influenza vaccine for students scheduled to attend placements in high-risk category A areas.
