28 March 2016

Earlier in March, the School of Chinese Medicine of Hong Kong Baptist University hosted the "International Forum on the Development of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital" that brought together international experts to share their insights about integrating Chinese and Western medicine.

Speakers attending the forum included heads of Chinese medicine hospitals, deans of schools of medicine and traditional medicine as well as senior researchers of medical research institutes from the US, Australia, Germany, Korea, mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. NICM Senior Research Fellow and GP, Dr Jennifer Hunter spoke about integrative medicine practice in Australia and how the lesson learnt might apply to the Hong Kong setting.

The forum was opened by top government officials of the Food and Health Bureau and the Department of Health of the Hong Kong SAR Government, members of the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong, and key officers of local Chinese medicine associations.
