Call for scholarship applicants: open until 29 Feb 2020

NICM Health Research Institute (NICM HRI) and Western Sydney University offers a range of project-based scholarships to support higher degree students in undertaking their research, including joint funded scholarship programs with Blackmores Institute and The Jacka Foundation of Natural Therapies.

NICM HRI  is pleased to announce that four PhD scholarships will be available for 2020. These are all fully funded scholarships over a three-year period with generous stipends for the right candidate.

Applications are now open until 29 February 2020 for:

  • NICM HRI Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander PhD Scholarship (Scholarship code: 2020_027) An exciting opportunity for Indigenous-led research and leadership, driven by the indigenous interests of First Nations communities in Australia and worldwide. This scholarship is open to candidates who identify as being an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, and can cover projects in the clinical or preclinical areas or a combination of these.
  • NICM HRI-Blackmores Institute: PhD Scholarship in Integrative Medicine (Scholarship code: 2020_029) An exciting opportunity for two candidates with an interest in either clinical or preclinical or laboratory based integrative medicine areas.
  • NICM HRI-Jacka Foundation: PhD Scholarship in Integrative Medicine  (Scholarship code: 2020_028) An exciting opportunity for one candidate with an interest in naturopathic research, chronic disease management, lifestyle medicine. The project itself is flexible but must address an important aspect of integrative medicine research with the aim of expanding the evidence base in integrative medicine through rigorous research. All potential candidates need to have a background in Naturopathy to be eligible for this scholarship.
