PhD, MBiostat, BSc
Adjunct Fellow, NICM Health Research Institute

Dr Edwin Lim was appointed Adjunct Fellow at NICM Health Research Institute in 2020. As an analytical biochemist and biostatistician, Dr Lim combines complex data from mapping small molecules in human biofluids with artificial intelligence to identify ways to diagnose diseases and predict their progression. He is currently applying a biomarker-guided precision medicine approach to understand how modifiable lifestyle risk factors, such as diet and exercise, can regulate tryptophan metabolism to improve neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric conditions, such as multiple sclerosis and schizophrenia.

Dr Lim has received over $4.3M in research funding with over $2.2M as a chief investigator and successfully published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in high profile journals.
