UWSCollege Offers a Great Opportunity for Education
UWSCollege, Lithgow Campus, is offering local residents a 'second chance' to improve their educational qualifications and enhance their career opportunities.
Applications are now being accepted for courses offered in Term two, closing on Monday 25 May 2015. Courses available are: Foundation Studies - Arts, Foundation Studies - Nursing as well as Diplomas in Engineering and Arts.
The successful completion of Foundation courses provides an entry pathway to UWS in the Bachelor of Nursing or Arts degree. The Diploma courses are the equivalent of the first year of Bachelor of the Engineering and Arts degree.
Professor Greg Whateley, Dean, UWSCollege says, UWSCollege was developed to build interest in and create awareness of pathways to university courses, for those who may not see tertiary studies as a viable option – they prepare students for university study, both academically and socially.
"One of the advantages of studying at UWSCollege is the direct entry arrangement with UWS. After successfully completing either University Foundation Studies or a Diploma, and meeting the entry requirements, students are guaranteed direct entry into the first or second year of the corresponding undergraduate degree at UWS," says Professor Whateley.
With term two commencing in June, potential students are encouraged to contact the staff at the Lithgow campus to discuss their study options and can contact the campus by calling 02 6354 4511.
