On International Women’s Day, Western Sydney University recognises the achievements, impact and contributions of women not only here at the University and internationally, but also in our families and communities.
Western Sydney University was proud to support this year’s Seven News Young Achiever Awards, which recognise the talents and hard work of young people across the state.
Last Friday, the inaugural Western Women Transforming the Built Environment breakfast was held to honour the contribution of women in construction.
Board member and proud Western Sydney University alumna, Ms Carmel Hourigan, has been appointed Deputy Chancellor, while longstanding Board member Mr Christopher Brown AM has been appointed Pro Chancellor of the University.
The Whitlam Institute within Western Sydney University is proud to bring the Spy: Espionage in Australia exhibition to Western Sydney, to reveal the personal experiences of secret agents and the curious history of espionage and counter-espionage in Australia.
Western Sydney University welcomes two postgraduate scholars, Kaleigh Rusgrove and Nikita Roy, as part of the Fulbright Scholarship program. Western's Victoria Austin has also received a scholarship to study in the United States.
