Community Award recipient, Bernie Fehon

Bernie Fehon is Managing Director of Tactical Solutions, and CEO of Fehon Strategy and Design. Bernie has contributed much to his community, and of particular note is his charitable work.  In 2006 Bernie founded the Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout, as a novel way to raise funds for St Vincent De Paul and draw attention to homelessness.  The CEO Sleepout began as a local community venture in Parramatta, but has quickly become a national event that has raised over $13 million dollars for Vinnie’s Homeless Services.  Bernie, when faced with trying to retain good Gen Y employees in Penrith against the lure of the city of Sydney, established Gen YQ – a group to give local young business people the chance to network with each other, to assist in furthering their own careers locally, and to better enable employers in Penrith to keep their talented staff.
