Digital Futures Team

The Digital Futures Team, with support from ITDS staff, was on hand to showcase the latest in online course design and student interactive activities. Prospective students and their families were able to try out interactive online classes and experience virtual reality through head-mounted HoloLens displays while George Karyliychuk demonstrated some interactive activities built in the Unity design platform.

In the coming months at Western the reformatted (central) Digital Futures Team will be exploring new platforms; researching the potential of Adaptive Learning platforms along with Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality systems to increase student engagement, time on task and effective learning outcomes.

The Future is indeed NOW !
