Western Sydney University Online – renewing our online course delivery strategy

Western Sydney University is extending its capacity to deliver engaging learning experiences in an advanced digital environment.  A partnership between Online Education Services (OES) and Western will promote our programs and recruit and enrol students in fully online courses.  Students will be supported in their technical, pastoral and academic needs, seven days a week and in extended hours during the week.

In September 2017, courses including Bachelor of Business (Marketing), Bachelor of Business (Management), and Bachelor of Business (Accounting), will form the first stage of new online courses.  Joining them will be courses in Social Science (Criminology and Criminal Justice) and (Child and Community Development).

This partnership is proving to be a collaborative success, as the Digital Futures Team located in the DVC(A) work alongside our academics, the Library, Student Services Hub and Student Systems.  Academic staff involved in designing their units for online delivery have provided positive feedback on their experience and expressed excitement about using newly created instructional materials in all iterations of their units.

Marketing campaigns about Western Sydney University Online have commenced and students have started to enrol. New courses are being considered for 2018.
