Communication & Sport launch

14 March2013: Today the Institute for Culture and Society held a seminar marking the Australasian launch of the new journal Communication & Sport.

Communication & Sport is a new, peer-reviewed quarterly journal (published by Sage) that fosters international scholarly understanding of the nexus of communication and sport. It publishes research and critical analysis from diverse disciplinary and theoretical perspectives to advance understanding of communication in the varied contexts through which sport touches individuals, society, and culture.

Presenters at the seminar were Professor David Rowe (Institute for Culture and Society, UWS, and Associate Editor, Communication & Sport), and Associate Professor Toni Bruce (Faculty of Education, University of Auckland, and Journal Contributor). The journal was launched by Professor Deborah Stevenson, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Research (Arts, Business and Social Sciences).
