Partnerships
ICNS enjoys strong partnerships with industry and defence, nationally and internationally.
- In India, ICNS is forging a strong, internationally important, and discipline changing partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) (opens in a new window), Bangalore. IISc is India’s foremost postgraduate research institute, attracting India’s top students. The student exchanges and research collaborations between these two world leaders in neuromorphic engineering truly make the ICNS and International Centre. In particular, ICNS has very strong ties with the NeuRonICS Laboratory (opens in a new window) led by Dr Chetan Singh Thakur.
- ICNS is also partnering with industry in India on Neuromorphic Engineering projects.
- In the USA, ICNS is working with Defence, in particular with the US Air Force, on the use of event based imagers for Space Situational Awareness, and Adaptive Optics.
- In Australia, the centre has strong and ongoing partnerships with the Royal Australian Airforce and the Australian Defence Innovation Hub. We are a partner in the ARC Training Centre in Cognitive Computing for Medical Technologies (opens in a new window), and a member of the Australian Brain Alliance (opens in a new window).
Through these established partnerships, our developing partnerships, and our future partnerships, ICNS will realise the impact of its research globally.
