Professor Janice Aldrich-Wright, Director of Research, School of Science and Health

Professor Aldrich-Wright has mentored through supervision 32 PhD, 20 Masters, and 38 Honours students, without the benefit of post-doctoral support. Her students are enthusiastically encouraged to publish their work, achieving an average 5.0 patents/book chapters and 3.9 conference papers per PhD student. All students engage in group research plans and decision making to prepare them for independent research, teaching and juggling competing needs, providing them with experience with managing projects. Research undertaken within this group is distinctive and has proven relevance to industry, government and community with graduates in industry, academic (international), teaching and international postdoctoral positions.
