The Psychosocial InterProfessional Education (PIPE) team came together in November 2017 with a common goal to ensure midwifery, psychology, social work and medical students were well prepared to work in multidisciplinary teams to address the significant and increasing perinatal mental health and social problems experienced by Australian women and families. The School of Nursing & Midwifery team engaged with like-minded academics from medicine, psychology and social work, the Rich Media, Digital Futures team and clinicians from Local Health Districts to design a student-centred, simulated learning experience with case studies based on real life situations.
