How to: Use Payments

What is Payments?

Payments is the University's secure online payment system. You will use it to pay fees and charges for a range of things, such as application fees, library fines, academic documents and graduation fees.

When using Payments, you have the option to set up a 'MyAccount'. If you don't wish to create an account, you can simply pay by providing your student ID, date of birth, contact and Mastercard or Visa details.

Setting up a Payments 'MyAccount'

Setting up a Payments 'MyAccount' enables you to make faster payments, access and manage your Western online payments 24/7 on any device. Anyone can set up an account to have access to the details of payments made using their account. Once you have set up an account, you will be able to:

  • Update your personal details
  • Enter multiple delivery addresses
  • Change your password
  • View past and future dated payments
  • Reprint receipts
  • Store all your payment methods, including credit cards, securely

'MyAccount' features

Personal details

Record your name, email address and phone number.

Address book

Store multiple billing or delivery addresses so you won't need to enter them on each payment.

Password

Change your Payments password. Please note that this is not the same as your WesternAccount password.

If you forget your password, click the 'Forgot Password' link in Payments and enter the email address you use to sign in to your 'MyAccount'. You will then be sent an email within 15 minutes with instructions for resetting your password.

Payment methods

Payments allows you to optionally store one or more credit cards for future use – there will be no need to have your card with you when making payments. Card information is securely held by Commonwealth Bank. It is not retained on Payments or any other University system.

If you do not wish to store card details, you can enter these details as you make each payment.

Future payments

Some Western items allow payments to be made by instalments, which will be charged to your card on the scheduled date automatically. This tab will display your upcoming scheduled payments, and any invoices that you have elected to pay later.

Past payments

View your past payments and reprint receipts.
