Women in Mathematics Day 2022
Western's Women in Mathematics Day will be held on the 12th of May to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women active in Mathematics. This hybrid online and in person event consists of several invited talks given by mathematicians active in Western Sydney and other institutes in Australia and celebrates the birthday of Maryam Mirzakhani, who was an Iranian mathematician and a Professor of Mathematics at Stanford University, and the first and the only woman to win the Fields medal.

Transport Options
Parramatta rail station is only a few minutes walk from the Parramatta City campus (PC-01, Peter Shergold building) and is your best option for getting here.
If you're coming by car there is no dedicated parking for the PC-01 campus but the nearest secure parking station is at the Parramatta Station Car Park, located at 17 Wentworth Street, Parramatta. This carpark is open 24 hours and is an approximate 5 minute walk.
