International Visitors

Western Sydney University receives more than 50 international delegations on an annual basis including institutional partners, government bodies, research and industry organisations as well as business partners.

The Western Sydney International Partnerships team has specific procedures for facilitating international visitors and is the central point of coordinating these visiting projects. We work closely with senior university executives, Schools, Research Institutes and other business units to develop visiting programs which aim to best meet the delegations' needs.

Academics from outside Australia who are planning to take sabbatical leave at Western Sydney University are invited to apply directly with the relevant School.

Visits for the purpose of hosting partner or potential partner institutions, senior diplomats and foreign government missions are coordinated by the International Partnerships Team and visitors are invited to complete a Visitor Request Form (opens in a new window) with at least four weeks notice before the actual date of the proposed visit.

Western Sydney International will consider the visitor requests and provide approval for the proposed visit prior to receiving a delegation.

Western Sydney International is also responsible for the issuing of an invitation letter upon request.
