How to apply for Business Courses

Domestic applicants

If you're an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident, you will need to apply online through Sydney Graduate School of Management  (powered by UAC). You can manage your existing application to a postgraduate Business course here.

International applicants

If you are an international student, you need to apply through Western Sydney University International. 

You can use the Western Sydney University Course Search Engine to find out specific details about the course you want to apply to including academic entry requirements, course structures and subject descriptions.

Checklist for applicants

Before you apply, please make sure you follow the below checklist so that everything runs smoothly.

1. Check the list of the postgraduate courses available.

2. If you would like to ask our academic staff about course content and possible career paths, reserve a place at a Postgraduate Information Session.

Domestic applicants: Identify the course/s you wish to apply for, in order of preference. We use a preference-based system for postgraduate offers. This means you will receive only one offer for the course listed highest in your preferences for which you are eligible.

3. Refer to closing dates for postgraduate Business courses.

4. Check whether there are special admissions requirements for your course.

5. To support your application, you may need to provide supporting documents of previous study or work experience. If you need to add documents to your application you may need to have them certified. Include correctly certified copies of all necessary documents.

International applicants: If you have previously studied at a tertiary institution in Australia or overseas, or you have relevant work experience, you can apply to have these studies considered for credit towards your SGSM studies. See more at Credit for prior learning.

6. Include additional information and/or supplementary forms if necessary, such as a Statement of Service.

7. Check your email for the outcome of your application.
